Meeting with the Kosovan Ambassador: A Milestone in Trime’s Journey

Only two months after launching Trime, we were honoured to be invited to meet with the Kosovan Ambassador to the UK, Ilir Kapiti, and his esteemed diplomatic colleagues.

This wasn’t just a symbolic gesture, it was a bold step toward the future we are building: a future where Albanian women have the support, recognition, and safe spaces they deserve.

In this pivotal meeting, we spoke openly about the realities facing Albanian women in the diaspora, particularly the hidden, unspoken experiences of gender-based violence that are too often dismissed or silenced within our communities. We shared our mission: to create a feminist platform that doesn’t just tell stories but transforms lives through community support, advocacy, and truth-telling.

What made this meeting deeply meaningful was the way Ambassador Kapiti responded, not with formality or detachment, but with genuine interest and empathy. We expressed our intention to transform Trime into a registered charity focused on supporting Albanian women impacted by abuse, and he wholeheartedly offered his support. His commitment to standing with us as we build this next chapter is something we hold with deep gratitude.

This meeting marks more than just a milestone, it reflects a growing recognition of the work we are doing at Trime. It shows that institutions are listening. That voices long silenced are being heard.

We are determined to continue this momentum, to push harder, reach further, and create spaces where Albanian women are not only supported, but uplifted.

We want to thank our community, every woman who has shared her story with us, every listener, every supporter. You are the reason this movement is growing.

Here’s to building bridges.

Here’s to disrupting silence.

Here’s to Trime.
