Trime on RTV Dukagjini: Speaking the Truth, Loud and Clear

Updated: Jul 22

Another powerful moment for Trime, this time on RTV Dukagjini, one of Kosovo’s most well-known television platforms.

We were invited to speak about the work we’re doing with Albanian women across the diaspora, our journey as refugees, and the deep-rooted silence that continues to exist around gender-based violence in our community.

In this interview, we didn’t hold back.

We talked about:

  • What inspired Trime and why it had to exist

  • The resistance we’ve faced from parts of our own community

  • Why silence is a cultural norm — and how it’s harming our women

  • The impact our podcast, workshops, and storytelling have had in just a few months

  • Our vision to expand Trime into a fully registered charity creating safe spaces, support groups, and healing tools for Albanian women

Being invited to speak on a platform like RTV Dukagjini was not just an honour, it was a sign that our voices are being heard back home. And that means everything to us. Because for so long, voices like ours were ignored, dismissed, or silenced.

To be seen as credible. To be invited. To be asked what we think, that’s the shift we’re trying to create for all Albanian women.

We’re incredibly grateful to the RTV Dukagjini team for hosting us and for giving us the space to speak from the heart.

Every interview, every conversation, every time we show up, we’re pushing boundaries and reshaping what it means to be an Albanian woman today.

This was a proud moment, and we’re only just getting started.
